Doina Ruști was invited to the fourth edition of the International Writing Program, organized by the Chinese Writers Association and hosted by the Lu Xun Academy of Literature. The program brought together ten writers from Australia, Germany, Japan, Austria, Romania, Argentina, Chile, Bulgaria, and Djibouti, selected for an international literary dialogue.

The official opening took place in Beijing, in the presence of Tie Ning, President of the Chinese Writers Association, alongside the leadership of the Lu Xun Academy. The inaugural ceremony highlighted the importance of international literary exchange and intercultural dialogue in contemporary literature.

Throughout the residency, Doina Ruști took part in professional meetings, roundtable discussions, and public readings alongside Chinese and international writers. The program also included cultural activities and a research visit to Sichuan Province, offering participants direct contact with the cultural and literary diversity of contemporary China.
