On Tuesday, February 4, at 6:00 PM, the Dukagjini Bookstore, located in Mother Teresa Square, will host the launch of the Albanian translation of The Phanariot Manuscript by Romanian author Doina Ruști.
The book is published as part of the Effugium series, a cultural project supported by Creative Europe, and marks an important moment in the circulation of contemporary Romanian literature in the Western Balkans. Through this edition, The Phanariot Manuscript reaches a new readership, offering an imaginative and historically rich exploration of 18th-century Bucharest, where archival reality and literary invention intersect.
The event is organized by Dukagjini, the first publishing house in Kosovo to become part of the Creative Europe program. Its participation in this European cultural network has made possible the publication of Doina Ruști’s novel in Albanian, reinforcing literary exchange and dialogue across the region.
All book lovers are warmly invited to attend the event and discover a novel that reimagines Balkan history through a distinctive literary voice.
