
The daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet published a ranking of the most important books released in Hungary in 2015, where Lizoanca at the Age of Eleven appeared alongside novels by well-known writers such as Michel Houellebecq, Attila Bartis, György Dragomán, and Noémi Kiss.
I was delighted to read that list — it felt like spending a Christmas holiday in faraway, exotic countries.
The novel Lizoanca at the Age of Eleven was recently published by Orpheusz Kiadó, in a Hungarian translation by Enikő Szenkovics.
The book was supported by the Hungarian Writers’ Union and the Romanian Cultural Institute.
