The “Effugium” Series by Dukagjini Publishing House (Kosovo)

The article published by Gazeta Express mentions the novel The Phanariot Manuscript, included in the Effugiumseries launched by the Dukagjini Publishing House (Kosovo).

Dukagjini is the first publishing house from Kosovo to become part of the Creative Europe cultural program — a prestigious initiative of the European Union dedicated to supporting literature and culture.

As part of this project, Dukagjini has brought into Albanian translation eleven literary works by major European authors, representing various cultures and languages from across the continent.

These volumes explore universal themes such as identity, collective memory, and the human experience in diverse historical and cultural contexts, enriching the Albanian reader’s library with new voices, profound insights, and translations of high artistic quality.

Through this project, Dukagjini emphasizes the role of literature as a bridge between cultures and reaffirms the importance of European dialogue through art.

📖 The “Effugium” collection includes:
  • Love and Pedagogy – Miguel de Unamuno

  • Each with His Own Lake – Nenad Joldeski
